Beam Governance Code of Conduct

Introduction to the Beam Governance Forum Code of Conduct

Welcome and thank you for joining the Beam Governance Forum. This Code of Conduct outlines the guidelines and expectations to ensure that our forum remains a collaborative and inclusive space that benefits the Beam ecosystem and its participants.

This Code of Conduct applies to all interactions within the Beam Governance Forum. It serves as a guide for engaging in discussions, sharing ideas, and collaborating on governance proposals. Your continued access and participation require that you follow these guidelines.

Behavior Guildelines

Act with Integrity: Uphold the principles of transparency, honesty, and ethical behavior in all interactions. Our goal is to enrich the Beam ecosystem without infringing on the rights, privacy, or well-being of others. We do not condone any actions that would undermine the integrity of the Beam ecosystem or other gaming communities, including unlawful activities, spreading misinformation, or engaging in market manipulation.

Be Respectful and Empathetic: Treat everyone with respect. Beam Governance Forum participants come from diverse backgrounds and experiences. Engage with others in a considerate manner and respect differing viewpoints. Healthy debate and constructive criticism are encouraged, but personal attacks, insults, or defamation have no place here.

Share Knowledge and Contribute Positively: Our community is a place for sharing knowledge, discussing governance proposals, and advancing the Beam ecosystem. Positively contribute to discussions, provide thoughtful feedback, and be willing to educate others. Remain open to learning from others and support a culture of continuous improvement.

Give Credit Where It’s Due: When referencing or building upon ideas or content that aren’t your own, give proper credit to the original creator. Intellectual property rights are to be respected at all times.

Respect Privacy: Always seek consent before sharing personal or sensitive information about others. Respecting each other’s privacy builds trust and strengthens our community.

Encourage Constructive Dialogue: Maintain a mindset of inquiry and growth. Constructive dialogue is encouraged, and criticism should be aimed at ideas, not individuals. Be willing to listen to alternative perspectives and engage in discussions that elevate the quality of decision-making within the forum.

Communicate Clearly and English as Primary Language: Use clear and considerate language in your interactions. Beam is a global community, and English is our primary language for communication.

Stay on Topic and Refrain from Spamming: While we encourage friendly exchanges, discussions should remain relevant to the governance and growth of the Beam ecosystem. Off-topic content, repetitive posts, or spam may be moderated or removed to maintain the focus of the forum. Avoid discussions that involve the promotion, buying, or selling of cryptocurrencies.

Zero Tolerance for Hate Speech or Harassment: We are committed to providing a respectful environment for everyone. We have a zero-tolerance policy for any form of hate speech, bullying, harassment, or discrimination. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Violent threats or language.
  • Sexist, racist, or discriminatory comments.
  • Posting sexually explicit or violent material.
  • Doxing or sharing someone’s personal information without consent.
  • Unwelcome sexual attention or advances.
  • Personal attacks, name-calling, or insults.
  • Excessive use of profanity or aggressive language.
  • Repeated harassment or intimidation of any community member.
